Initiative “PoSADY!”, waste management reform, sustainable nutrition: Ekoltava’s agenda in 2023

21.02.2023

For two days, Ekoltava’s team has been planning its activity. Discussions have covered short-run prospects for the year as well as long-range objectives and tasks.

Together with the facilitators the team has defined prior areas of activity in the coming year. They are:

  • waste management,
  • climate change adaptation,
  • energy sector (particularly the use of renewables),
  • food security (particularly provision of seed packages for vulnerable social strata),
  • sustainable nutrition.

Last year “Ekoltava” had successfully conducted the initiative “PoSADY!”, so that over 3 thousand people from vulnerable social strata, among them internally displaced persons, have got their seed packages. The organization plans to prolong the action in the current year. In early March, the launch of fund-raising platform is set, so that everyone can contribute to seed procurement.

During 2023 experts of “Ekoltava” aim to clarify the aspects of waste management reform in hromadas, to present in respective Ministry the outcomes of inspection of morphological composition of waste, and to turn to climate policy.

Other plans for spring include the launch of online course on sustainable nutrition. Its participants will find out how to make their diets health- and environment-friendly. As for now, the preliminary admission for the course is in progress. Applications are submitted via link below:
