Plant it!

11.04.2022

In Ukraine the threat concerning food supply is looming. Russian invaders do their best to ruin the sowing season at hand: they demolish agricultural machinery, hit fuel storages, mine fields, attack food warehouses.

Ekoltava launches spring campaign “Plant it!” for people who can’t buy seeds to grow vegetables for inner consumption. We’ve formed basic sets of seeds to be sent to Poltavs’ka, Sums’ka, Chernihivs’ka and Kharkivs’ka regions.

Who can get their set:

  1. People cut off the shops. People in hard economic conditions (particularly retired, large families, handicapped, unemployed).
  2. People who accommodated refugees or who themselves are refugees, living in the areas with homestead lands.
  3. People in occupied cities, towns and villages.

The campaign covers dwellers of Poltavs’ka, Sums’ka, Chernihivs’ka and Kharkivs’ka regions, who live in private houses with homestead lands, and inhabitants of multi-storeyed buildings, on condition they have land where to grow food.

Delivery is free. Yet NGO “Ekoltava” cannot guarantee delivery in case of logistics failures, though it will do its best to.

The first 200 registered participants get their packages. The number of sets remained depends on funding and logistics.

What’s in the box?

Vegetables: carrots, radishes, cucumbers, beetroots, cabbages, vegetable marrows, pumpkins, squashes, tomatoes, peas, peanuts, sweet corn, water melons, melons, cucurbits, kidney beans.

The list of items may be changed.
