Roadmaps as a ground for future local waste management plans
02.02.2024Consultations on development of roadmaps have started for hromadas that participate in School of municipal waste management. During one month, the representatives from local self-government bodies will attend online meetings with mentors of School of MWM. It is planned to held both individual and group consultations.
A roadmap is a kind of action plan that holds practical steps towards Local waste management plan. As the roadmap is being developed, there emerges the vision of areas, and actions that local self-government takes in the field of waste management.
Hromadas have already learned a bit about roadmaps while training at School of MWM. Now time has come to turn skills into actions, under expert support from School mentors.
We remind that training at School of MWM for hromadas that take part in the project “Support of local waste management system” lasted from October 2023 till January 2024. The attenders were representatives from 65 hromadas in 7 Ukrainian regions, namely Poltavska, Zhytomyrska, Rivnenska, Volynska, Lvivska, Zakarpatska, and Odeska.
