«Ekoltava» develops the Plan of adaptation to climate change for Sumy

«Ekoltava» has begun working on the Plan of adaptation to climate change for Sumska urban territorial hromada.

This project will be implemented under support of NGO «Ekodiya» and financial promotion by BUND, an organization from Germany. It will last until April 2023 inclusive. The project stipulates the development of report on hromada’s vulnerability to climate change, which becomes climate constituent part of the future Action Plan on sustainable energy development and climate for Sumska urban territorial hromada till 2050. 

Currently the collection of data is in progress, as they are necessary to estimate the vulnerability degree.

Earlier, «Ekoltava» has inspected the Plan of long-term economical development for Sumy and developed guidelines for its improvement. The town council plans to consider these guidelines while developing the updated Action Plan on sustainable energy development and climate.
